Clarification of regulatory status of Enxutto and scam alert

The Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA) alerts the financial services community and the public to a scam in which the scammers falsely claim to be an Authorised Firm regulated by the DFSA.

The scammers, operating through their website (enxutto.net), falsely claim to be authorised by the DFSA and other regulators by:

  • displaying a list of regulatory authorities on their website (enxutto.net/licenses.html)
  • stating “We are proud of our licenses and regulations, which confirm our commitment to international standards and provide a high degree of protection for your investments.”
  • cloning the DFSA Public Register webpage and presenting it as a fake website (dubai-certifications-finance.net/firm-552912.html)
  • using a fake DFSA reference number and listing an address in Austria that hosts virtual offices.

The scammers have also prevented individuals from withdrawing funds traded through their website and require victims to take out a loan to withdraw the funds into a purported “cold” crypto wallet.

Furthermore, the scammers use the DIFC’s and DFSA’s names, the DFSA logo, and a fabricated version of the DFSA website without authorisation.

The DFSA informs you that:

The DFSA strongly advises you not to respond to any communications regarding this scam, and under no circumstances should you send or give any money to any party connected to the scam.
