The Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA), the independent regulator of financial services in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), alerts the community to false, misleading and deceptive information made on the following website -http://montgomeryrothinternational.com.The website states that “Montgomery Roth International (Middle East & Asia) LLP is regulated by the Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA)”.This information is incorrect.  Montgomery Roth International (Middle East & Asia) LLP is not regulated by the DFSA, nor is it located in the DIFC, despite the reference to the DFSA on its website.It is a contravention of DFSA Law and Rules for a person to represent that they are regulated by the DFSA, when they are not. The DFSA strongly advises members of the public not to deal with the firm or persons connected with the website.The DFSA has recently issued warnings and guidance in regard to the common types of scams perpetrated on consumers.
