Nasdaq Dubai Limited impersonated in scam

The Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA) alerts the financial services community and the public to a scam involving the impersonation of Nasdaq Dubai Limited (the Real Firm), a DFSA Authorised Market Institution based in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC). The Real Firm has no involvement in the scam.

The scammers have created a fraudulent website (https://nasesdubai.com/#/home) that closely mimics the Real Firm’s website by:

  • using a fake domain name, “nasesdubai.com”, while fraudulently using the Real Firm’s actual name “Nasdaq Dubai”;
  • fraudulently using the Real Firm’s logo but in a different colour on the homepage of the fraudulent website; and
  • using the Real Firm’s name in sections like “Why Choose Nasdaq Dubai” and elsewhere on the fraudulent website.

The DFSA informs you that:

  • the only website affiliated with the Real Firm is www.nasdaqdubai.com. The Real Firm has no connection with the fake website (https://nasesdubai.com/#/home); and
  • the fake website contains a fraudulent email address ([email protected]), which is not affiliated with the Real Firm.

The DFSA strongly advises you not to visit the fake website or respond to any communications regarding this scam, and under no circumstances should you send or give any money to any party connected to the scam.

The DFSA has a page on its website dedicated to alerts which it has issued about scams. All alerts issued by the DFSA may be accessed by going to: Alerts

The DFSA has also issued warnings and guidance about the common types of scams perpetrated on consumers. For more information on these scams, please go to: How to avoid being scammed
