Rasameel Investment House Limited impersonated in scam

The Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA) alerts the financial services community and members of the public to a scam in which a DFSA Authorised Firm, Rasameel Investment House Limited (the Firm), has been cloned.

To make the scam seem authentic, the scammers have cloned the Firm’s website by copying the:

  •  theme, content and look of the legitimate website; and
  •  name, logo and office address of the Firm.

However, the:

  • cloned website has a different web address which has been manipulated to look similar to the legitimate web address. The Firm’s legitimate web address is https://www.rasameel.com/en/;
  • email addresses and contact telephone numbers displayed on the cloned website do not belong to the Firm.

The scammers have also issued a fraudulent client agreement which uses the Firm’s name, logo, office address, and DFSA licence number. However, the fake agreement uses the same fake contact details indicated on the cloned website, and a fake company stamp.

The DFSA strongly advises that individuals should not respond or engage in any communications regarding the above scam, and under no circumstances should you send or give any money to any party connected to the scam.

The DFSA has a page on its website dedicated to alerts which it has issued about scams. All alerts issued by the DFSA may be accessed by going to: Alerts.

The DFSA has also issued warnings and guidance about the common types of scams perpetrated on consumers. For more information on these scams, please go to: How to avoid being scammed.

The DFSA encourages consumers to refer to the list of regulated Firms and Authorised Individuals licensed by the DFSA that is available on the DFSA's Public Register.

If you have any concerns about the authenticity of any correspondence or documents that purport to be issued by the DIFC Authority, DFSA or a DFSA regulated Firm, you should direct your concerns to the DIFC Authority on Tel: +971 4 362 2222 and to the DFSA through the Complaints function.
